The Dilettantes are a Baltimore, MD acoustic trio playing the songs of Jennifer Agner. Jennifer grew up listening to everything from the Carter Family to Joni Mitchell and the Beatles, and brings a strong sense of storytelling to her music. Her husband, Eric, who plays upright bass on the record, brings a roots and rock sensibility to the ensemble. Guitarist Greg Schlimm has an ear for jazz chord voicings, and balances out the group. Together they reflect her upbringing in the South and her penchant for first-person narrative on “This Small Town” their debut recording.
